Our main activity consists in organising complete tours in the primary rainforest via the Napo River. Tours start from the Hotel “El Albergue Español” in Misahuallí. There, you will get on board our canoe, towards the Jungle Lodge. All the moves of the tour, including the trips back and forth between Misahuallí and the cabins or during activities, are made with motor powered canoes steered by accredited pilots, with respect to the safety rules in force. Besides, we permanently have a motorized canoe in the jungle in case of emergency.
The tours are organised around activities, always in presence of a professional local guide. Should you need a French or English translator, one will be provided free of charge (thank you to warn us in advance in case you do). Activities are concentrated on 3 main themes: the jungle, the river and the indigenous culture.
The activities centred on the two last themes (River and Indigenous Culture) are generally realised in the afternoon. However there is no established program as they are always realised in accordance with the climate and, of course, your interest.
Tours can end in San Pedro de Sumino, an indigenous community wherefrom you can continue your trip towards Quito or Baños by road (regular buses between 5:30 AM and 5:00 PM), or towards Coca by the Napo River. If you prefer to come back to Misahuallí by canoe, you will then enjoy a magnificent panorama along mountains called Cordillera Napo-Galeras and the Sumaco volcano.
