The river is a structuring theme of varied activities: different means of sailing, from a canoe to a balsa raft or kayak, swimming on one of the numerous beaches of the area, fishing with the indigenous traditional techniques (particularly the piranha fish), panning gold and going upstream on little tributaries, which enable you to observe the exuberant vegetation and colourful birdlife. In front of the Jungle Lodge, native families regularly come to the Isla del Oro to panning gold and, there, it is possible to observe caimans in their natural environment.

People interested in observing birds must be informed that the area around the Jungle Lodge is stuffed with a great range of species to be watched with our guide who is well trained in ornithology.
